My story as a Music Photographer
Hey there!

So, back in 2018, I kicked off my career as a music photographer in the city of Nottingham, taking photographs of up-and-coming bands.
While working part-time at Curry's, I began selling a camera to a customer who I later found out was a writer for an indie culture magazine, Slanted Press. Once I figured that out I told them not to purchase a camera and informed them "I will come and take the photographs for you".

For two years, I played around and developed my skills with Slanted Press. The feedback from the magazine and the artists amped up my love for shooting gigs, concerts, and festivals. It was official—I was hooked on being a music photographer.

Deciding I needed a digital home for people to find me as a Music Photographer, I designed this website.
Then, in my final year of University, an editor from Getty Images swung by Nottingham Trent University to chat about careers in photography. Perfect timing, right? During the talk, the editor mentioned that they were on the lookout for a music photographer.
Crazy, I was excited and nervous—a perfect opportunity for me.

After a few conversations and an exchange in details, I inked the deal with Getty Images.

But, plot twist, Covid-19 crashed the party. Gigs, concerts, and festivals got axed or delayed, and I hadn't even shot my first Music gig for Getty Images.

Fast-forward a couple of years and I finally had my full year of being a music photographer behind me.
With a year's worth of portfolio work, I achieved the Nottingham Young Creative Awards 2022, and now, I'm so grateful to be shooting on behalf of Getty Images and making content for up-and-coming and established musicians.

So, if you're in a band or a solo artist, Let's connect.
Drop me a message, and we can chat over a coffee or just geek out about music.
